I don't know was it ever mentioned, but do you think it being possible that Matoran could have used the Base-12 system of counting? Like, they are having a numbering system, that makes one more line per number in 1-5, but then 6 is like a double zero, 7 is like double one, 8 is like a double two and 9 is like a double three.

It always bugged me a little bit so my theory is, that they in Matoran world actually use a single digit for 10 and 11 as well, thus making it a dozenal numeral system. It would actually make kinda sense, I even drew how would it look like, image bellow. Obviously LEGO never made a separate symbol for 10 and 11, but they never really had to, did they? Matoran script was never written in Matoran language, it was always in English, and in English we count in Base-10, so it is much more convenient to just use the Decimal system for kids anyway.

What do you think? Would it be viable?
